Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but dessert is a close second. Dvour Desserts has been helping Memphis diners keep their sweet teeth happily sated and soon it will do the same for Southaven. The popular bakery has selected that neighborhood for its second storefront, set to open later this year, reports local media outlet Daily Memphian.

Dvour-which boasts some of the best cheesecake in Memphis-will be opening in a storefront in the South Lake Centre. Guests will be able to stop in to grab a sweet treat in the 175 Goodman Road W. shop that previously housed Mochi & Mi. A precise opening date is not presently available, however Dvour owner Travis Brady is aiming to be ready to greet guests by mid-to-late September.

Dvour stated on its Instagram page that it is hoping to have an opening date determined soon and was greeted with no shortage of enthusiasm. Southaven foodies were fast and effusive in welcoming the shop-Dvour will clearly be greeted with open arms and rumbling stomachs.

Future regulars can look forward to a menu that transcends just the cheesecakes that the concept is known for-though they will certainly be available as well. Brady explains: “What we want to do is create a rotating menu of many delicious desserts. We’re not moving away from cheesecakes; we’re just incorporating more (desserts).”

In addition to being delicious, Dvour’s creations will be little, edible works of art. Brady states: “We want to sell emotion, not necessarily sell desserts. My obsession has always been presentation, and that’s where we are going to continue to focus.”
