About a year after making its Cordova debut, Sweet Musings Bakery & Cafe is gearing up for an expansion.
The popular Taiwanese-style bakery plans to open a second location at 712 South Mendenhall Rd in East Memphis. The new, 3,400-square-foot space will undergo $300,000 in renovations to accommodate the expansion, according to recently filed city permits.
Known for its exquisite selection of Asian-inspired goods, Sweet Musings offers everything from delicate pastries and croissants to Korean-style donuts, panna cotta, and fluffy Asian breads.
The menu also features elevated sandwiches, along with coffee and bubble tea. Regan Chen, who runs the bakery with his wife and head baker, Christy Lin, told What Now Memphis that the new location will expand its offerings to include snacks.
Sweet Musings Bakery & Cafe is slated to open in East Memphis in roughly six months.
