The Peach Cobbler Factory has big plans to expand throughout Memphis, starting with a location at 5101 Sanderlin Ave.
Franchise owners Otis and Janie Jackson are getting ready to open their second location, opening this location on July 22, according to the Daily Memphian. The couple, who also franchise the original Collierville location, plans to add several more locations throughout the Memphis area. In Tennessee, the Peach Cobbler Factory has 17 new locations planned, bringing the number of venues in the state to 20. The eatery will sit in a strip mall near the Mendenhall Commons, on the other side of DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Memphis.
“When we joined the franchise, (Otis) wanted to buy the whole region,” Janie Jackson tells the Daily Memphian. “He had the vision since day one. He just wanted to keep moving forward. There’s something different here that hasn’t been done before, such as the variety of things we offer.”
When the upcoming Memphis location opens, customers can expect 12 different flavors of cobblers, including apple caramel cobbler and sweet potato cobbler. The eatery will offer other sweet treats like big cobbler cookies, banana puddings, pudd-n shakes, and gourmet cinnamon rolls.
“I love the customers, people, friends, I love to see their reactions,” Otis Jackson tells the Daily Memphian. “I love to see how people love it.”
The new location is part of the company’s plans to open 50 locations by the end of the year and more than 200 new stores by the end of 2024. The plan was announced last year when Larry Johnston, a former CEO of Albertsons Inc., bought the company from Juan and Tamira Edgerton, who founded the concept in 2013 from Nashville.
