A new restaurant is set to open near Bartlett, as evidenced by a plethora of permits filed with Develop901. Umiya, which translates to “the sea” in Japanese, will be located at 2710 N Germantown Pkwy, taking over the former site of Logan’s Roadhouse.

Owner Xiu Lin has not yet responded to inquiries from What Now Memphis, leaving limited details about the forthcoming eatery. However, a business search reveals that the restaurant is registered under the LLC Umiya Sushi Memphis, indicating that it will offer sushi and a range of Japanese dishes.

The 7,839 square-foot restaurant space boasts over 140 parking spaces and is situated just across the street from Bartlett city limits, near the Wolfchase Galleria Mall. Permit records indicate that the project has been underway since last October, with recent renovations totaling approximately $220,000.

While there are existing Umiya Sushi restaurants scattered across the US, there appears to be no connection between these establishments and the upcoming restaurant on N Germantown Pkwy.
