Whataburger is laying plans to open a new site at 8612 US Highway 51 N in the Forked River Commons development.
At the intersection of Highway 51 and Veterans Parkway, a new Whataburger is setting up shop across from Arby’s. Minutes from the Walmart Supercenter, three and a half miles from the Millington-Memphis Airport, and three miles from the Glen Eagle Golf Course, it’s a prime route to attract hungry patrons.
What is currently an unsightly lot housing three dilapidated pole barns will soon be a fast-casual restaurant offering friendly service with staff happy to serve your burger your way. The 2,098-square-feet building is likely to follow the typical PT20 prototype with a double drive-through lane and indoor seating for 34.
With approximately 50 menu items, not to mention 17 breakfast items, a kids’ menu, and lots of beverage options, the popular hamburger joint prides itself on taste-tested flavor perfection. Many of the condiments are also available in Hy-vee grocery stores and online.
I can’t wait. I haven’t had one since the one in Frayser.
