Fort Lauderdale will soon welcome a new bakery and cafe into its culinary community. AM Bakery Lounge will offer a variety of baked goods, coffee, and more at 817 N Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.

“It’s going to be something unique and interesting,” owner Marina Petushkova told What Now on Monday. “There will be a lot of European products that taste great and are very high quality.”

Expected to open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m., Petushkova said, the cafe will offer a range of cafe-appropriate food and drink choices, including a variety of coffee drinks, pastries, bread and ciabatta, sandwiches, salads, and desserts like cakes and other baked goods.

Situated on North Federal Highway, between Northeast Eighth and Ninth Streets, AM Bakery Lounge will be part of a small retail center that houses local businesses like Urban Pets and Babylon Tattoo. Nearby eateries include Roxanne’s Liquor Bar & Kitchen and The Whole Enchilada Fresh Mexican Grill.

AM Bakery Lounge is waiting on permits for construction, and so no opening date is available yet. But keep an eye out for updates as the new brand’s debut approaches.
