After opening in Miami Beach—and with plans for more locations in Midtown and BrickellBondi Sushi is at work on another South Florida location, this time in Oakland Park, says recent coverage by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

The new location will open this summer at Oaklyn, a “new sky-high tower giving Oakland Park a jolt of big-city appeal,” the coverage says. There, it will join La Birra Bar and the Imperial Moto Cafe.

Founded by David Hess, Aiden Carty, and Justin Hauser, Bondi offers a selection of Sashimi and Nigiri choices with fish including Seared Albacore, King Salmon, Lean Tuna, and Unagi. The menu also features a selection of handrolls; appetizers like Spicy Edamame and Shishito Peppers; and, for dessert, Yuzu Crème Brulee, Black Sesame Lava Cake, and Mochidoki.

The new location will likely make some adjustments to the current menu, especially where sweets are concerned: “The dining room will be distinguished by a Japanese-style cocktail bar and a sweets shop called Icebergs, which will serve Japanese ice cream, rice-cake desserts, sodas and candy” says the Sun-Sentinel.
