Miami Beach gelato shop I Scream Gelato is already making a name for itself nationwide, with franchise locations in Colorado, Texas, Ohio, and Alabama. But it hasn’t forgotten its home in South Florida, where it’s preparing to launch two more company-owned locations, in Wynwood (at 2445 NW Second Ave) and in Fort Lauderdale.
“We should have about twenty locations total by the end of 2025 or mid-2026,” Nadav, a co-owner in the company, told What Now on Thursday.
What Now reached out after finding plan review paperwork submitted for the Wynwood location on Second Avenue.
“That one in Wynwood is going to be very high end. It sticks to the theme Wynwood, with a lot of art.”
Soon you’ll be able to enjoy I Scream’s gelato at a Fort Lauderdale location, which is opening in the next few weeks. The Brickell location will follow a little later. Official opening dates have yet to be announced.
I Scream Gelato’s list of rotating gelato flavors is long, ranging from Stracciatella to Vanilla Cherry, to Donut, to Crème Brulé. There’s plenty to pick from, and gelato isn’t the only thing on offer.
“Besides our handmade-on-site gelato, we also have a full dessert menu,” said Nadav. “That includes crepes, Belgian Waffles, Affogato.”
