What Now on Wednesday found plan review filings with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation and the Division of Corporations. The filings were for two more Jersey Mike’s Sandwich shops in South Florida.
We can expect to see the chain appear at 5413 N University Drive. In a small strip mall, the sub shop will near other chain eateries, like Chipotle Mexican Grill, Tropical Smoothie Café and will be just across the street from a Dominoes Pizza unit.
The Division of Corporations reveals that Matthew Catania is the franchisee behind this location; and Catania also appears to have filed two other businesses under a similar name.
One of these filings bears the address of the other Jersey Mike’s Subs location, coming to 10570 Pines Blvd, in Pembroke Pines. This unit will near businesses like McAlister’s Deli, Smoothie King and Chuy’s.
Catania confirmed with What Now that the Lauderhill location is set to open very soon. As for Pembroke Pines, we have about a 3-month wait ahead of us before the doors open.
