New York-based hospitality company The Group Hospitality is continuing on its path of “transforming landmark locations into iconic restaurant destinations.”

The company’s concepts include “the award-winning Omakase Room, OLIO E PIÙ, La Grande Boucherie, Boucherie West Village, Boucherie Union Square, and Petite Boucherie,” says The Group’s website. “The company continues to expand nationally with nine openings in the coming year, including new locations in Miami, Chicago and Washington D.C., drawing inspiration from the local food scene and building long-term relationships within each community.”

The Group is about to arrive in Miami Beach, where submitted plan review paperwork shows a new outpost of its La Grande Boucherie brand planned at 230 First Street.

The area has been anticipating the arrival of a new concept from The Group’s Boucherie family of brands for several years now, as news broke of a Le Jardin Boucherie opening at 81 Washington Avenue back in 2022. Plans appear to have changed, as Eater Miami described La Grande Boucherie as one of its most anticipated openings back in the spring, opening at the same Washington Avenue address.

What Now reached out on Wednesday to Zorica Vukovic, The Group’s director of operations and hospitality, to ask about the location’s projected opening. Vukovic was not immediately available for comment. It is therefore still not clear when La Grande Boucherie can be expected to have its long-awaited grand opening (the location’s page on the Boucherie US website still does not provide a date) but the wheels do appear to be in motion.
