Popular South Florida food truck, Monster Burgers, is opening its first brick and mortar restaurant.

Monster Burgers, LLC , consisting of four partners (Claudia Montoya, Diana Montoya, Julio Arcilla, and Carlos Mosquera), recently filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation for a restaurant located at 2325 S. University Drive in Davie. The fast casual restaurant is expected to open late spring or early summer of 2026.

Monster Burgers opened its first food truck in 2011, serving Colombian street food and burgers. Quickly, the bright green truck, decorated with whimsical creatures, became a fixture at Miami food truck roundups and festivals. A second food truck followed, and now a restaurant is in the works.

Monster Burgers offers a menu of burgers, hot dogs, fries, chicken burgers, and Colombian favorites. Its specialty is the Monster Burger, an eight ounce beef patty topped with crispy bacon, mozzarella cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, crushed potato chips, and monster sauces. Other favorites include chorizo with fries, Colombian empanadas, and maicitos (a Colombian dish of sweet corn kernels with melted mozzarella cheese, topped with shredded chicken).

If your Monster cravings can’t wait until the summer, the Monster Burgers food truck rolls around town regularly, posting a schedule of events on its site.
