Playa Bowls, the chain offering a wide variety of açai, pitaya, and coconut bowls (and more), has been expanding rapidly in South Florida this year, and a recent plan review shows that yet another Play Bowls is on the way soon, with a second location slated for Boca Raton.
“This location is in the heart of four different local high schools,” franchise co-owner Alexandra Arguello told What Now on Monday morning. “After getting established on East Boca, we’re really excited to be in the epicenter of the West Boca community.”
Alexandra and her husband, Richardo Arguello, are the franchise team behind Playa Bowls’ Davie, Delray, and Coral Springs locations. They are working to launch the West Boca location before the end of December—depending, of course, on the gods of permitting.
The location, at 9982 Glades Road, is situated on the southeast corner of the intersection with US-441 South, among several other food and drink locations, like Pei Wei Asian Kitchen, Benihana, and Chipotle Mexican Grill. Arguello encourages locals to keep up with word of the opening on the Boca Raton Playa Bowls Instagram page.
“We’ll be giving away five hundred bowls for free at our Grand Opening,” she said.
The West Boca Grand Opening promises to be a big even, so West Boca locals should be sure to the check the brand’s Instagram for updates on when they’ll be able to enjoy Playa’s bowls, which come in varieties like the Trailblazer (Granola, chocolate protein, banana, raw cacao, peanut butter), the Olas (Banana blend topped with granola, banana, blueberry. Coconut flakes, chia seeds, almond butter), and the Green Power Bowl (Kale blend with vanilla protein topped with granola, banana, almond butter).
