About the Franchise Owner
An experienced retail professional, Erik Davis, runs the latest outlet. He holds the ownership together with his Taiwan-born wife who knows about Boba tea since childhood.
“Atlantic Avenue’s energy, foot traffic, and mix of locals and visitors make it the perfect place to share that experience,” he added.
Davis’s latest franchise endeavor comes around decades after his corporate leadership experience. As Boba tea was a familiar concept in the family, he thought to combine the ideas and choose Chatime as a new opportunity. He now plans to continue adding more locations across the state with current focus being on mobile boba truck/trolley. With this, Davis plans to bring the brand to festivals, events, and neighborhoods across South Florida.
Zach Wei, head of U.S. operations for the Boba tea chain said, “Chatime is a natural fit for Delray Beach, especially along Atlantic Avenue, where walkability, steady foot traffic, and a vibrant dining scene create strong demand for grab‑and‑go beverages. The area’s mix of residents, tourists, and beachgoers makes it an ideal spot for refreshing, customizable drinks.”
“We believe Erik and his family are the perfect group of people to establish Chatime in such a diverse and culinarily curious area,” Wei added.
Menu offerings at the Delray Beach location include customizable:
- milk teas
- smoothies
- fruit teas
- brown sugar pearls
Gluten free, vegan, and lactose free options will also be there. Certain items would be adjusted to match the desired sweet levels of health-conscious patrons. Davis has decided to add this flexibility to aptly serve both ardent boba fans and first-time customers.
