Pubbelly Sushi will enter the Clematis Street culinary scene in 2023.
On October 11, Brand Atlantic Real Estate Partners and Wheelock Street Capital revealed that the Japanese- and Latin-inspired restaurant will become part of the Banyan & Olive mixed-use development in West Palm Beach.
Banyan & Olive is a project designed to foster workplace collaboration, while providing amenities like restaurants and indoor and outdoor fitness centers.
This will be Pubbelly’s seventh location since the restaurant opened its first in 2010. The restaurant chain is known by tourists for its sushi, even winning the 2020 Miami New Times Readers’ Choice Award for “Best Sushi.”
The West Palm Beach location is set to open inside a 3,200-square-foot space on the ground floor of the Olive street building next to Clematis Street by the third quarter of 2023.
“We have a lot of customers that come and drive down all the way to Miami to our restaurants,” said Jorge Mijangos, chief operating officer of King Goose Hospitality, a hospitality group that manages Pubbelly. “We see big opportunity for our brand to bring that food closer to this area.”
Customers can expect to continue to enjoy favorites such as Tostones con Ceviche, Short-Rib Dumplings, Tuna Roll and the “Butter Krab Roll.”
Right now, the plan is still in the construction phase, however Mijangos said the West Palm Beach location is ideal.
“West Palm Beach is a prime location, and we think that we will be doing good and making the Pubbelly family larger,” he said.
Pubbelly is also planning to open a location in Pembroke Pines in the next few months.
