Palm Beach’s Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center looks to be getting a new, all-organic coffee and grab-and-go sandwich spot, Seaview Cafe. A plan review was submitted recently by Seaview Cafe LLC for the space at 340 Seaview Ave.
According to late-summer coverage by Palm Beach Daily News, Seaview Cafe will occupy a 300 square-foot space at the recreation center’s southeast corner, a space which is currently serving as a vending room. At the time of the coverage, the cafe was negotiating a lease of the space, which would cover three years with options to renew.
The Mandel Recreation Center replaced Palm Beach’s original (and much smaller) recreation center, opening at the end of 2019.
“There was a missing piece to the puzzle as far as making us more of a complete center,” Palm Beach recreation director Mark Bresnahan said in the Palm Beach Daily News coverage. “A lot of people have been asking for it. If you look at all we have to offer, this was the last missing piece.”
The menu is expected to include “organic sandwiches, salads and wraps, freshly ground coffee, fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, ice cream, muffins, croissants and overnight oatmeal.”
