Sushi Sake is opening a South Miami location.
The restaurant, under SS South Miami LLC, recently filed permit applications with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to open a restaurant at 5829 SW 73 Street, at the former Kiko Sushi location. An opening date has not been announced, but its Instagram account confirms the restaurant is “opening soon”.
Founded in 2009 by brothers James and Argelio Aguayo, Sushi Sake is known throughout South Florida as the place to go for fresh sushi. The restaurant offers traditional Japanese sushi, sashimi, and rolls, including some innovative rolls inspired by Miami’s Latin-American culture such as the Caliente Roll with fried white fish, spicy mayo, and spring mix. The restaurant also pays homage to Miami’s sports teams with rolls named after the Dolphins, Marlins, and Miami Heat. Sushi Sake also offers a full menu of hot items like fried rice, katsu, and hibachi items. Planning a party? Sushi Sake offers party trays.
The restaurant has become quite popular, and there are now more than three dozen locations throughout South Florida from Palm Beach County down to the Florida Keys.
