Tropical Smoothie Cafe is embarking on another opening in Miami. According to a Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation permit, the new Tropical Smoothie Cafe is set to open in Palm Beach Gardens within the Coconut Crossing retail shopping center at 12650 Northlake Blvd., Ste. #100.
Coconut Crossing is a prominent 100,000-square-foot retail and commercial center situated at the signalized southwest corner of Northlake Boulevard and Coconut Boulevard. It sits directly across the street from the massive Avenir master-planned community. Tropical Smoothie Cafe will open in a good company. The retail and commercial center includes inline retail and dining spaces such as Marco’s Pizza and Honor Pilates at the 12650 building numbers, alongside anchors like Aldi and Starbucks in the broader center.
What Now Miami reached out to David Champman, whose number was listed on the permit, to find out more about the exciting new development. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Our smoothies? Kinda legendary. But the goodness doesn’t stop there,” the Tropical Smoothie Cafe website reads.
“Our Tropic Bowls, flatbreads, and wraps hit the spot: the sweet spot. The savory spot. Whatever kind of spot you’re craving.”
Tropical Smoothie Cafe started as a small beachside smoothie stand in Destin, Florida, in 1993. Founders Eric Jenrich, Delora Jenrich, and David Walker started franchising the business in 1997. The company celebrated its 200th location opening in Virginia Beach, Virginia, in 2006.
What Now also reached out to the COO of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, Jonathan Biggs, to find out more about the expansion. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
There are now more than 1,700 Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations across the United States. There are approximately 228 Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations in Florida, making it the state with the highest number of stores in the country.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is anticipated to open in Palm Beach Gardens within the Coconut Crossing retail shopping center at 12650 Northlake Blvd., Ste. #100 before the end of this year or early next year.
(This is a developing story. As more information is made available, we will update this article. Stay tuned!)
