Wayfair is bringing its first Florida store to Fort Lauderdale.
The online furniture company issued a press release, naming Fort Lauderdale’s The Galleria (2414 E. Sunrise Boulevard) as the site of a new 94,000 square-foot store. The opening date is scheduled for late 2027.
The two-level store will be part of the shopping mall’s extensive redevelopment, which aims to transform the longtime retail destination into a mixed-use hub featuring new retail, dining, residential, and lifestyle offerings.
Founded in 2002 by Niraj Shah and Steve Conine, Wayfair has become one of the world’s largest online home furnishings retailers, offering everything from furniture and décor to housewares and appliances. The Fort Lauderdale store will feature the company’s broad assortment of home products, along with design services and curated Wayfair Verified selections. Merchandise will be tailored to South Florida lifestyles, emphasizing coastal design, indoor-outdoor living and year-round entertaining.
The location will allow shoppers to purchase many items in-store while also serving as a showroom that allows customers to pick out larger furniture items for delivery.
The online furnishing company opened its first large-format store in Wilmette, Illinois, in 2024 and expanded to Atlanta in 2026. Additional stores are planned for Columbus, Ohio, Denver and Westchester County, New York.
