According to an article from Nashville Business Journal, Jimmy Kelly’s will add a patio and spiral staircase to their space at 217 Louise Avenue.

A representative of Jimmy Kelly’s was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Nashville’s request.

According to the article, “Knoxville-based Stamps Design Group is handling architectural work for a 38-foot by 54-foot second-story open deck and spiral staircase at the front of the restaurant.”

In what is described as the heart of Music City, Jimmy Kelly’s has been a symbol of unwavering excellence since its founding in 1934. This establishment emerged during the depths of the Great Depression, only a year after the end of Prohibition, and it was born from the vision of John Kelly. His promise to himself and his diners was straightforward: to deliver a superb steak, generously pour fine whiskey, and ensure that the service was consistently attentive.

Jimmy’s is known for their specialty in steak menu options, such as the filet mignon or bleu cheese filet. In addition to steak, their menu also consists of wine, dessert, and a “captain list” menu.

“Our steaks are hand-cut by our butcher, in our kitchen, on the day we serve them. We select the very best Midwest grain-fed beef and age our beef for a minimum of 28 days. During this natural process, enzymes break down and tenderize the meat, giving it a unique flavor and ensuring tenderness. Our goal is to ensure that we serve you the world’s finest beef,” according to the company website.
