Local pizzeria Hometeam Pizza, operated by Kevin and Samantha Jackson, announced recently that it will be making the jump from Citizen Kitchens to their own brick-and-mortar location in Belmont later this year.

However, the duo has plans beyond that flagship location, Kevin told What Now Nashville in a recent interview.

Kevin draws inspiration from other local brands, such as Hattie B’s and Edley’s Bar-B-Que, that he has watched grow since the Jacksons moved to the city in 2015. He hopes to model some of that growth for Hometeam Pizza.

“We really admire some of the local businesses that have grown in this area,” Kevin said. “Our goal is to open a couple locations as well.”

As of now, they are focusing on opening their flagship location. However, Kevin envisions two to three Hometeam Pizza locations opening up in Nashville in the coming years.

As the company transitions to having their own brick-and-mortar model, Hometeam Pizza is able to expand its menu to feature sandwiches, salads and other menu items they could not consistently offer out of a commissary kitchen. They will also cater to all approaches to pizza, including dine-in, delivery, to-go and pizza-by-the-slice.
