Acai bowls, smoothies, juices and cold brews could be heading to Mt. Juliet soon. Playa Bowls is eyeing an expansion to Mt. Juliet. The City of Mt. Juliet’s Facebook page recently posted an announcement regarding tenants heading to the Citi Station development in the heart of the city at the corner of North Mt. Juliet Road and East Division Street. Playa Bowls is one of several tenants looking to join the development, though a lease has not been signed yet.
Playa Bowls would join other tenants at Citi Station, including Starbucks, Club Pilates and Gordonsville-based Timberloft.
A representative with Playa Bowls confirmed with What Now Nashville that they are looking into the space but could not provide further information at this time.
Playa Bowls opened its first Tennessee location this spring in Murfreesboro, followed closely by a second Murfreesboro location. The franchise opened at The Arcade in Nashville during the summer.
More expansion is on the horizon. Franchisee Henry Anderson shared in a past interview with What Now Nashville that he and his business partner plan to build out multiple locations in the Middle Tennessee area.
“We’re excited to keep building these out. We have 14 locations we’re trying to build out over the next few years, so we’re going to try to plant our flag in all the major suburbs around Nashville and have a handful in the city as well,” Anderson said.
Stay tuned for further updates on the progress of this potential location.
