Acai bowls, smoothies, juices and cold brews are on their way to a new area of the Nashville market, courtesy of Playa Bowls franchisee Henry Anderson and his business partner.
What Now Nashville recently reported that the team just opened their first location in Murfreesboro, and they have one more on the way to Murfreesboro later this spring. Now, they are setting their sights on new areas of the market, with plans to eventually open 14 locations across Middle Tennessee.
In an interview with What Now Nashville, Anderson shared that they have signed a lease in downtown Nashville at The Arcade. He said they are hoping to open that location this summer.
Anderson said they are scouting more locations, as well, targeting different neighborhoods around Nashville.
“We’re pretty actively looking for sites across the city and throughout the suburbs,” Anderson said. “It’s a competitive market around Nashville right now, but we’re trying to stay active and make sure we’re not missing any good opportunities because they can be tough to find.”
Ultimately, Anderson and his team are expecting to spread to Knoxville and Chattanooga. However, Nashville is expected to receive a number of Playa Bowls locations over the next couple years.
“We’re excited to keep building these out. We have 14 locations we’re trying to build out over the next few years, so we’re going to try to plant our flag in all the major suburbs around Nashville and have a handful in the city as well,” Anderson said.
The New Jersey-based brand has grown to more than 200 locations across the country since 2014 and is expanding into new markets.
