Coffee and doughnut chain Tim Hortons plans to make its way to Donelson at 2527 Lebanon Pike, according to recently filed permits.

It will join fellow nearby coffee and doughnut locations along Lebanon Pike, including Caliber Coffee Co. and Shipley Do-Nuts.

The plans for a new location come in the wake of an ambitious announcement for expansion in the Middle Tennessee area earlier this year. What Now Nashville reported that franchisee Naren Patel hopes to open 45 locations throughout the Middle Tennessee area, beginning with the two in Mt. Juliet at 10576 Lebanon Road and 5120 Beckwith Road.

Canadian hockey player Tim Horton first launched the brand in Hamilton, Canada, in 1964. Since then, it has grown to more than 5,500 locations across 13 countries, with more than 600 in the U.S. The chain serves coffee, breakfast items and baked goods.

As of now, there is no timeline announced for the opening of this location. Permits show plans for interior renovations to the restaurant space.

Stay tuned for additional updates on Tim Horton’s expansion.
