New Orleans restaurateur Rami Bader is opening a new spot called 762 Coffee + Cocktails in the Lakeview neighborhood, according to public records filings. The upcoming restaurant will open on 762 Harrison Avenue, formerly housing Nola Beans, which closed at the end of 2024.
The all-day cafe and bar will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. 762’s menu primarily consists of sandwiches and bowls, with a few appetizers like its pomegranate hummus and corn & crab bisque. Its dessert menu lists some intriguing options like a four-layer Chambord cake and a banana cake topped with pistachio-infused buttercream. “Every recipe was built around our son’s allergies, crafted with love by my wife, who’s been making these meals for him every single day,” Bader wrote in an Instagram post.
The focus of 762 is its drinks. Bader will manage the cocktails, a mix of martinis, margaritas and classic cocktails. His wife and co-owner will manage the coffee side, offering classic coffee drinks and teas.
Bader is a fairly well-known figure in New Orleans, owning several restaurants in the area. Perhaps his most well-known restaurant is Oceana Grill just off Bourbon Street, a seafood restaurant known for its appearance on the fourth season of Kitchen Nightmares.
Bader says the 762 Coffee + Cocktails will open in early-to-mid March pending city inspections.
