Located at 421 N Highway 190, Covington, Smalls Sliders will be led by Joseph ‘Rocky’ Gettys and his partners, who also own Cans in Slidell. The new location opens at 10 a.m. on August 26.

The grand opening will include a check presentation to Alexander Milne Developmental Services, a local foundation named after community hero Alexander Milne. Gettys chose the organization for its hands-on support of individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the community. Guests can also participate in a raffle, with all proceeds going directly to the foundation.

“This community means a lot to our team, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring the Smalls experience to Covington,” said Gettys.

“We’re passionate about connecting with our guests and serving up bold flavors in a fun, welcoming environment. Partnering with Alexander Milne Developmental Services for our opening is a meaningful way to kick things off and give back,” he added.

Local Team Brings Proven Experience to Covington Can

The Smalls Sliders team and its partners bring strong restaurant experience to the Northshore. They have led successful ventures with brands like Salad Station and Smoothie King, showing a record of quality and community focus.

The Covington team builds on the success of their Slidell location. They have years of hands-on experience in the foodservice industry.

The Covington team is ready to serve the full Smalls experience: cheeseburger sliders, signature Smauce, seasoned fries, and handspun shakes.

Led by Gettys and his local partners, the new Covington Can brings the same energy and bold flavors fans love across Louisiana.
