Simple and effective, Voodoo Chicken & Daiquiris is becoming a French Quarter institution, and a new location of the popular fried chicken spot is coming to 838 Canal St. Formerly a Boost Mobile store, the new Voodoo Chicken location is poised to open this summer, according to a permit filing with the City of New Orleans. The new restaurant will bring the total number of locations to four, and it will be just down the street from another location at 629 Canal St.

As the name suggests, Voodoo Chicken and Daiquiris primarily features fried chicken and blended frozen drinks. The menu also includes fried fish, fried shrimp, gumbo, alligator bites, boudin, and honey butter biscuits. In addition to having locations around The Quarter, the chain also raises its visibility with brilliantly-colored go cups that have a skull-shaped base.
