A daiquiri shop owner in Houston is currently developing a Cajun bar and restaurant concept for 2600 S Claiborne. Julius Wallace recently told What Now New Orleans that he’s currently in the midst of a permitting process for the building and plans to move forward once he gets approval. Tentatively, he’s planning a late spring or summer opening.

Wallace said this would be his first business in New Orleans, and he’s expecting a slower permitting process than the one he went through in Houston. While the concept is tentatively titled Bourbon St. Daiquiris, Wallace said it will not be a strict daiquiri shop. The concept will have a full bar and food menu, he said.
