Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is a dessert shop chain specializing in its namesake frozen treat, and franchisees for the chain are preparing to open two locations this summer, one in Ascension Parish and one in Baton Rouge. Operating partner Kayla Loveland recently told What Now New Orleans that construction is wrapping up on the Baton Rouge location at 4343 S Sherwood Forest Blvd., and it is slated to open in July. The Ascension Parish location at 117 N Airline Hwy. in Gonzales is slated to open this summer as well.
Founded in Florida in 1996, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice also serves soft ice cream and Jelati, which is a layering of Italian ice and soft ice cream. The company also has open locations in the Northshore. According to reports, the company is also planning to open additional Louisiana locations by the end of the year.
