Opened in Lafayette in 2022 as a late-night dining option, Shakebacks is preparing to open a second location at 4225 Nicholson Dr. in Baton Rouge. According to a Facebook post, the new Shakebacks location will be a fast-casual concept meant to get customers their loaded fries, sliders, and other comfort food within eight minutes. Owner Terrence Jeffery told What Now New Orleans that he’s currently working with an architect on plans for the new location and hasn’t set an opening date.

Shakebacks built its reputation on serving decadent, sweet and savory treats to the late-night crowd in Lafayette. The website lists the best sellers, which include loaded shrimp fires, a bacon-and-sausage breakfast burrito, and a boudin melt. In addition to a brick-and-mortar, there is also a Shakebacks food truck.
