As he plans to expand his flagship restaurant, Larry Morrow is also looking to open a new concept called Spicy Mango at 405 Frenchmen St. According to an Instagram profile, the restaurant will offer Caribbean-fusion food in a modern setting. Images on Instagram also revealed a tree with crimson-colored mangoes inside the restaurant. The space used to be home to the live music spot The Yard, and a permit filing with the City of New Orleans revealed Spicy Mango will have a license for live music. The Instagram profile also indicated an opening date is set for this summer.

According to Axios New Orleans, Morrow is intently focused on growing his restaurant empire, which currently includes Morrow’s, Sun Chong, Hide/Seek NOLA, and Morrow Steak. Axios quoted the restauranteur as saying he wants to build the biggest “Black-owned hospitality group in the country.”
