Working as a local caterer with her company Oulala’s since the pandemic, Alana Lawrence is preparing to open a brick-and-mortar location in Harvey that will offer takeout-only breakfast in the mornings and transition into a restaurant-lounge in the evenings. Amour by Oulala’s will be located at 2209 Lapalco Blvd when it opens later this summer.
“Me and my business partner have worked together to create a positive space for people to come and feel like they’re hanging out with family and friends,” Lawrence recently told What Now New Orleans. “We’ll have good food and good vibes.”
She said the restaurant will offer many of the popular dishes from her catering operation, including lamb chops, Cajun pasta, chicken wings, and seafood egg rolls. The beverage options will include soft drinks and signature mixed drinks. Lawrence said she hopes to open by the end of August or early September.
