Artmosphere, a longstanding bar and live music venue in downtown Lafayette, will reopen after being sold to a local couple who also own a popular local food truck. Land records indicate that the now-closed venue at 902 Johnston St. was recently sold to Justin and Marcela Bennett, who own Lana’s Empanadas, a food truck selling its namesake dish and other Latin American treats. According to a report from The Acadiana Advocate, the couple plans to reopen Artmosphere in time for Lafayette’s Festival International, which starts in April. There are plans to host live music at least three time per week. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

While the past owners had recently put in significant investments in the building, the new owners will make minor additions. They will also run the kitchen, but there’s no word on it being a brick-and-mortar location for Lana’s Empanadas.
