Founded in Lake Charles, Blazin’ Hot Chicken is a fast-casual restaurant specializing in Nashville-style hot chicken sandwiches, and the Southern Louisiana chain is preparing to open its first location in New Orleans. The new location is being planned for 2323 Canal St. in the former Chicken & Sides, according to permit filings with the City of New Orleans. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more details.

Nashville-style hot chicken is known for its spicy, seasoned crust, and Blazin’ Hot Chicken ups the ante by dousing its chicken sandwiches in a signature Blazin’ Sauce. In addition to hot chicken sandwiches, the restaurant is also known for its sliders, chicken tenders, and waffle fries. There are currently locations in Lake Charles, Lafayette, Westlake, and Baton Rouge.
