Mo Fries is a popular food truck based on a build-your-own french fry bowl concept, and the company is poised to open its first brick-and-mortar location in Terrytown at 1168 Terry Pkwy. Owner Mo Bader recently told What Now New Orleans that it was always his intention to open a brick-and-mortar after establishing the food truck. He added that the space is currently being built out.

“We just got our permit and started remodeling,” he said. “In a few weeks, we’ll have a more accurate sense of our opening day.”

For now, fans of Mo Fries can build their french fry bowls at two different food trucks. First, customers choose their protein, which includes steak, shrimp, crawfish and chicken.  Customers then choose the types of cheese and sauce they want. Finally, they can choose add-ons like bacon, jalapenos, extra meats, extra cheese, or extra sauce. Bader said the opening menu at the new restaurant will be the same as the menu for the trucks.
