The mobile diner, Moore to Love, will be mobile no more, set to open its first brick-and-mortar restaurant, first reported by The Acadiana Advocate. The upcoming restaurant is parking permanently on 9993 Florida Blvd, ready to provide Walker residents with even more to love.
Natalie Moore, the titular owner, started her business as a side gig, selling baked goods while working full-time at Holden School’s cafeteria and as a custodian. She quit her job and opened the Moore to Love food truck in 2024, serving food out of a hot pick trailer in Albany. The restaurant has become something of a family business, with Moore’s husband working the grill while their daughter deals with customers.
“I still can’t believe that little ole me — a girl from the small town of Holden who didn’t think she’d ever be much of anything — is really out here living her dream,” Moore wrote in a Facebook post.
Moore to Love serves comfort food in its purest form, burgers and quesadillas shimmering in savory sauce. You just want to crawl onto your plate and hibernate. The upcoming restaurant will serve the same food and maintain the aesthetic that made them such a success in the area.
Moore to Love will operate its food truck on 28585 Highway 43 until March 1. The restaurant will open the doors to its brick-and-mortar location in mid-April.
