There’s a new boba shop and deli coming to an Uptown plaza, according to permit documents filed with the City of New Orleans. The documents indicated that the restaurant coming to 714 S Carrollton Ave. will be counter service and it will have a seating area for up to 28 people. What Now New Orleans was able to contact co-owner Jean Le, but she declined to provide details for the time, saying it was too early in the process. She added that she would reach out at a later date to provide more information.

This part of Uptown is already home to a number of highly-rated Asian restaurants, including Satsuma Maple, Bangkok Thai and Hana Japanese Restaurant. There are also plenty of other great non-Asian options, including La Patrona, El Toco Loco, The Camellia Grill and Brigtsen’s Restaurant.
