As states across the country relax laws around marijuana and THC, cafes are popping up that offer THC-infused drinks and other products alongside coffee and tea. One such cafe, High Grinds, is planned for 1724 St. Charles Ave. According to NOLA.com, the café will primarily focus on selling high-end coffee and pastries, but also offer a small menu of THC-infused products, including drinks and gummies. New Louisiana state laws governing THC have restricted its availability, and the owners of High Grind have indicated they are focused on promoting the wellness aspects of their THC products. The cafe is slated to open this summer, and What Now New Orleans has reached out for more details.

The new cafe will be on the first floor of an Italianate-style home built in the mid-19th century. Over the years, the building has housed a cottage-style residence, a car dealership, and a tattoo shop. The new café embraces the building’s Victorian architecture but includes a few touches of contemporary decor.
