Known for curing the late-night munchies, Insomnia Cookies is planning a new location in Uptown at 2801 Magazine St. The new location would be the second New Orleans location, with the first in Uptown on Maple Street.

Insomnia Cookies has built its brand on offering cookies, brownies, ice cream, and ice cream cakes late into the night, delivering treats as late as 3 a.m. According to the Insomnia Cookies website, the new Uptown location will be open until that time on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. For the rest of the week, the new location will only be open until 1 a.m. An opening date has yet to be announced.

Seth Berkowitz founded Insomnia Cookies out of his college dorm room at the University of Pennsylvania. The first brick-and-mortar location opened in 2003, and there are currently more than 200 locations across the country.
