New Mixed-Use Building With Restaurant on Saint Claude Lot Set for Approval

Local music executive Fee Banks is behind the planned development

First proposed to the city nearly two years ago, a mixed-use development planned for 2242 Saint Claude Ave. appears set to go forward after the Architectural Review Committee of the New Orleans Historic District Landmarks Commission voted to recommend conceptual approval to the commission. The historic commission will take up the issue at its meeting on August 6. The latest plans for the project show a restaurant space with bar seating for 15 people and table seating for 56 guests. Local music executive Antoine ‘Fee’ Banks is behind the planned development. His Good Money Global label has released music from a number of prominent rappers, including Kevin Gates, NBA YoungBoy, and No Cap. Banks was named Billboard’s Executive of the Week in 2020.
