The mixed-use facility in Baton Rouge known as Electric Depot recently added a pickleball complex called Electric Pickle, and it is set to add a bar and restaurant this fall. According to a report from 225 Magazine, the bar and restaurant are meant to make Electric Pickle more of a social space. The bar and restaurant will have about 1,600 square feet of space and additional outdoor seating. The restaurant could be an original concept from the owners, or they might lease the space to an established restaurant.

Owners Mikayla Richard and Macabe Rappold come from a beach volleyball background, and they are looking to bring the social aspects of beach volleyball to their pickleball space. Electric Pickle currently hosts open play sessions, pickleball lessons, and membership options. There will reportedly be two tiers of membership plans, one for unlimited play and one for reserved sessions throughout the week.
