A 6-acre property development in Lafayette Parish called Paradise Plaza recently sold the final 3.5 acres to Texas-based Wendy’s franchisee Haza Foods, according to an announcement from  Elifin Realty.  The planned plaza is located in Youngsville along Chemin Metairie Parkway, a major thoroughfare in the city. The development is also set to include a new location of Paradise Grill & Daiquiris, as well as a branch of Fidelity Bank of New Orleans. As for the Wendy’s franchise, it will be the fourth location from Haza Foods in the parish. The company operates 78 locations in Louisiana and nearly 390 locations around the country.

The announcement of a new location in Youngsville comes just as Wendy’s stock price hits a 52-week low, representing a 37-percent loss in value in one year. According to Investing.com, the company still has strong fundamentals and can meet short-term obligations. In fact, the company recently announced its intent to expand internationally with plans for 190 new restaurants in Italy and Armenia.
