Plant-based eatery The Earthly Elephant in Slidell is preparing to move to a bigger location after spending a little more than one year in the city’s Olde Towne neighborhood.  The cafe has had success selling vegan food, cold-pressed juices, superfood smoothies, and prepared meals. In a Facebook post, the café said the new location would have “more space, more service, more impact for what matters.”

The new location has not been disclosed, and the owners recently posted to Facebook about unexpected delays in the renovations. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

The Earthly Elephant is owned by daughter and mother, Carmen and Alicia Norman. They also own the Purple Elephant Bath and Body store in Slidell, which is adjacent to the former location of The Earthly Elephant.
