It seems like the rapidly growing Destination Pointe development in Lafayette Parish is the place where major brands want to be, and one of the latest to hitch its wagon to this rising star is Waffle House. According to Developing Lafayette, a new Waffle House location is coming to the commercial development in Scott, which is located on Highway 93, just north of I-10. While some Waffle House locations have taken on a more elevated look, this planned location will reportedly have the breakfast chain’s iconic exterior and familiar menu.

Established in 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, the original Waffle House is now a museum. Over seven decades, the restaurant has grown from that humble beginning into a chain spanning more than 1,700 locations across 25 states.
