Located in St. Gabriel since it opened in 2020, the Istrouma at Sugar Farms brewery has been a hub of craft food and drink in Iberville Parish. Recently, the brewery and restaurant announced that it would be relocating from its rural digs to Baton Rouge. According to a post on Facebook, the brewery is closing, and the farm where it’s located is being sold. The Baton Rouge location has not been announced, but an opening date is set for Fall 2026. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.

In addition to brewing beer, Istrouma at Sugar Farms was also known for its food, which included pizzas and tacos made with local ingredients. Other scratch-made items included ice cream and cheese made at the farm. The owners also created a family-friendly, pet-friendly environment that showcased farm life.
