Open since 1979, Serop’s Café in Baton Rouge is preparing to move its main operation to a larger location at 9848 Perkins Rd. that will allow the restaurant to expand its mission of serving classic Mediterranean dishes. According to a Facebook post, the new capital city location at 9848 Perkins Rd. will have the same menu favorites and some new additions. A larger location would also likely facilitate Serop’s catering operations. There are currently six other Serop’s locations across Baton Rouge. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.
According to its official bio, Serop’s introduced chicken shawarma to the Capital Region. The restaurant says its chicken shawarma and gyro meat are both slow-roasted on a vertical rotisserie, unlike some restaurants that use a flat-top grill. The restaurant currently has six locations in Baton Rouge.
