Louisiana, the epicenter of Smorange, is about to get Smaucier as Smalls Sliders sets a date for its Can Drop in Covington.
The fast-growing, QSR industry-disrupting cheeseburger slider brand, which serves cheeseburger sliders, seasoned waffle fries, and milkshakes out of a 750-square-foot Smorange -colored shipping container, known as a “Can,” was founded in Louisiana back in 2019 and has since expanded on a national level.
This Can in Covington will be owned by experienced franchisees Joseph (Rocky) Gettys and his partners Jason Barre, Scott Henderson, and Garrick Robert, who also own the Can in Slidell, Louisiana. With a strong background in operations, including experience with Smoothie King and Salad Station, Gettys and his team are ready to bring their expertise to the Northshore, serving up bold flavors.
The team is eager to connect with the community and has selected the Alexander Milne Developmental Services as their Smalls Town Hero, a coveted honor within the Smalls Sliders brand to be recognized for local contributions. Founded by Scottish immigrant Alexander Milne in the early 19th century, Milne Developmental Services has evolved to provide innovative, community-based care for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, fostering independence and inclusion. Smalls Sliders is looking forward to working alongside the organization to support their cause and spread awareness for lifelong developmental care.
Smalls Sliders will open on 4/09/25 at 9:00 a.m. and is located at 421 N Highway 190, Covington, LA 70433.
