After more than a decade of success with Sno-La Snowballs in Uptown, Kerry Crossley is looking to take on the ownership of a full restaurant with Get Stuffed by Sno-la in the Magazine Commons shopping center at 2917 Magazine St. The Garden District restaurant will offer a menu that plays off its name, including stuffed bread bowls, croissants, and peppers. Get Stuffed will also offer Sno-la’s signature stuffed snowballs. Crossely said he is looking to pursue a liquor license in the future, and a tentative opening date has been set for the end of August.

“It’ll be tapas-style, but not tapas food,” Crossley recently told What Now New Orleans. “We’ll offer small plates of comfort food, and we’re going to make the food as healthy as we can.”

When Sno-la opened more than 13 years ago, it created a sensation with its cheesecake-stuffed snowball. Possibly hoping to repeat that fresh-out-the-gate success with Get Stuffed, Crossley hasn’t been posting too many details about Get Stuffed just yet.

“I think part of the fun of going to a new place is coming to experience it for yourself. “So that’s why we’re not giving too much away,” he said.
