After nearly two decades in the same location, Sombreros Mexican Kitchen & Cantina in Walker is planning to move into a newly constructed building that will have a much larger space, according to Daily Report. With 2,200 square feet of additional space, the new Sombreros location at the intersection of Pendarvis Lane and South Walker Road will include a patio and banquet room. It will also offer drive-thru service, which isn’t available at the current location. The company reportedly bought a property for the new building 5 years ago for $240,000. Construction on the new building is set to break ground in August. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.
With another location in Alexandria, which has been there for 14 years, Sombreros is known for its Angus beef dishes, including a 21-day-aged Angus ribeye steak. The menu also includes many Tex-Mex classics, including sopas, fajitas, and tacos.
