Traditional Cuban Spot Coming to Lafayette Will Roast Whole Pigs

Cuba Tradition & Entertainment will have a second-story dining room with a view of its surrounding Lafayette neighborhood

An upcoming Cuban restaurant in Lafayette is going all in on the concept of traditional Cuban food by roasting whole pigs in two large, glass rotisserie ovens. Called Cuba Tradition Cuisine & Entertainment, the newly-built restaurant at 5611 Johnston St. will have two floors, with the kitchen primarily taking up the first floor. According to renderings posted on social media, the second floor will be the primary seating area, and it will feature large glass windows that will provide views of the area and plenty of natural light to the space. The restaurant will be focused on serving traditional Cuban dishes with a Cajun sensibility. There will also be handcrafted cocktails, live music, and seasonal celebrations. An opening date has been set for early 2026.
