Lightnin’ is striking twice in Ruston as the owners of White Lightnin’ prepare to open a second restaurant, according to an issued liquor license. The new restaurant, Lightnin’ on the Park is set to open in a shopping plaza on 114 W Park Ave., which formerly housed RAW Restaurant.

Co-owners Eric Williamson and Chef Sean Welch opened White Lightnin’ Cocktail and Culinary Company in 2022, off Celebrity Drive. Their new space in downtown Ruston faces Railroad Park.

Drawing its name from the slang term for moonshine, the restaurant serves prohibition era cocktails like its French 75, Monkey Gland and Mary Pickford. Its food menu offers elevated, French-inspired Southern staples like trout meunière over garlic cream cheese grits. For dessert, try their Chantilly bread pudding or partake in one of their dessert cocktails like their Grasshopper.

Lightnin’ on the Park doesn’t have an opening date as of yet. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more information.
